Community Activities Board Prepares for a New Semester

Last updated on January 28, 2018

As a Welcome Back, the Campus Activity Board has put together a week of different things to do around campus to get you involved in the school. The Board itself is made up of students, faculty, and staff that plan not only the first week’s activities but the whole year’s. They invite you to join them and create upcoming plans for you and your peers.

The first week back is Rush Week, starting Tuesday and ending on Friday with a bang. Tuesday, August 23rd, is an event called “Come-I-Wanna-Meet-You!” from 11:00am to 2:00pm outside in the QUAD. There will be different clubs and organizations representing what they are in hopes for you to join them. Wednesday, August 24th, there is an SGA (Student Government Association) Mixer from 12:45pm to 1:45pm in the Thigpen Library in the Rochelle Center. The mixer is designed for you to meet the student government of our school. Thursday, August 25th, is an amazing chance to show off your performance skills: a Lip-Sync Battle! It’s from 12:45 to 1:45 in the Mary Nichols Dining Hall Room A. Rush Week ends on a super note with a FREE Movie on Friday, August 26th. The Movie is Captain America: Civil War and will begin at dusk outside in the QUAD.

Rush Week is a great opportunity to get involved in this amazing school. Please join us for a fun time and a great start to the semester.
