Vol State Community College is hosting its first annual Fusion Culture Crawl. This event showcases Vol State and community student accomplishments throughout the academic year. These accomplishments include live music and theater sets, an art gallery, art awards, honor posters, science posters, and short films.

This is a free event open to the public. It will be hosted on May 1st from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on the first floor of the Steinhauer-Rogan-Black (SRB) building. Refreshments will be served, including light food provided by Vol State and glittery mocktails made by PTK members.

Works featured come from Vol State students from various programs, including Art, Entertainment Media Production, Music, Theater, and elementary school students from the Vol State community.  Awards will be handed out based on several different categories throughout the night.

The first event of its kind, the Humanities and Fine Arts Department is combining several features of its students, including research pieces.  “This event is going to be the epitome of student success, showcasing Vol State students’ talents and successes from this year,” said Prof. Allen Babiarz-Lira, Communication and Media Studies, about the event.
