The Lady Pioneers have been clicking on all cylinders this season, with great hitting, running, pitching, and confidence.

“Hitting and defense, we need that and good team chemistry,” said assistant coach Jimmy Buckner when asked what are some pivotal elements that the Lady Pioneers need to win in tournament.

The Lady Pioneers team chemistry will be a big factor because that’s how they’ve accumulated a lot of wins this season, they know each other on the field, and they play extremely well together.

“They’re meshing pretty good right now as we’re closing out the season, their confidence is high,” Buckner said.

This week the Lady Pioneers will close out their season after a four-game series versus Chattanooga State Community College, which is also the number one team in the conference. With the tournament starting in two weeks, it would great to close out the season after getting wins against the top team in the conference.

“The goal is to play your best ball at the tournament, and we’re stilling getting better, so we’ll see how Friday and Saturday goes,” said head coach Johnny Lynn.

Games one and two will be this Friday, April 26 at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. Games three and four will be Sat. April 27, at noon and 2 p.m.
