In March, the Lady Pioneers have been winning at a rate of 10 out of 11 games to start the month.

Over spring break the Lady Pioneers had a total of six games and won five.

They swept Roane State Community College in a two-game series with scores of 11-7 and 11-3.

“Those were our first conference games, we were on the road and you have to show up when you’re on the road and we did. Our speed definitely hurt them and when you make mistakes, they’ll make you pay,” said head coach Johnny Lynn.

Against Calhoun Community College, the Lady Pioneers split the series losing game one 7-0 and bouncing back to win game two 10-9.

“They made the plays they needed to win and in game two we stuck with it, got good hitting and was able to pull it out late,” said Lynn.

The Lady Pioneers faced Columbia State Community College in a four-game series and won all four games 8-1, 7-4, 7-5, 8-3, and 4-2.

Against Kaskaskia College, the Lady Pioneers won the two-game series.

“We got out on them early and didn’t give them a chance,” said Lynn.

The Lady Pioneers won both games 12-0 and 13-5.

“They know how to put on a show. They get after it. We stick to what we do best. We know what we need to do to get the win,” said Lynn.
