Priority Registration for summer and fall classes for current sophomores and freshmen at Volunteer State Community College is still set to begin April 6 for sophomores and April 7 for freshmen. The registration is set to open at 8:00 a.m. on both days.
Despite the school adapting to rapid changes this semester due to COVID-19, the college plans to continue registration and applications for its summer and fall semesters. Students can register on the respective dates at https://portal.volstate.edu and following the link to Degree Works link on the left side of the screen.
However, according to the Vol State website there has been one major change to the registration process. Given the current situation of public health and the campus being closed for the remainder of the semester, TN Promise students are not required to meet with their advisor in order to register.
The college still encourages students to email their advisors to receive help in their registration process and to have any of their questions regarding classes and which ones to take answered.
The hold TN Promise students usually see in their Vol State Portal at the time of registration should be removed, but if not these students can contact advising@volstate.edu or call 615-230-3702.
