Volunteer State Community College will be hosting the film “Thank You for Your Service” Tuesday, Feb. 19, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the Wood Campus Center in the Mary Cole Nichols Dining Room B. This film is about a soldier who tries to readjust to civilian life after returning home from the war in Iraq, according to Vol State’s website.
According to IMBb, a group of U.S. soldiers returning from Iraq struggle to integrate back into family and civilian life, while living with the memory of a war that threatens to destroy them long after they’ve left the battlefield.
Vol State students weighed in on the importance of students seeing this film.
