April Campus Activities

By Abigail Vaughn

Vol State’s Campus Activity Board will be hosting four student events this month.

On Wednesday, April 17, there will be a Campus Spa in the Wood dining room. From 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. It will include free chair massages, calf/foot massage, hand paraffin treatment, and oxygen therapy.

“I am excited for the campus spa because it gives the students time to relax and feel stress-free from school and their personal life. I think it’s a good thing for students to attend since we have finals coming up soon,” said Dayanara Ramos, a freshman at Vol State.

On Thursday, April 18, there will be a Diapers for Diplomas event. It will be in the Wood dining room from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. This event is hosted by Nashville Diaper Connection, Adult Learners, and Veteran Affairs. For more about Diapers for Diplomas go to the link

On Tuesday, April 23, there will be an SGA stop-by event in the Wood dining room. From 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., informational tables will be set up for students to learn more about SGA and give their opinions. There will be free things available while supplies last.

On Thursday, April 25, there will be a Let’s Talk about S.A.A.M. event. This event will be on the first floor in SRB’s Performing Arts Studio. April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month (S.A.A.M.).  From 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., there will be free food, games, and prize baskets. These baskets include a laundry basket, a snack basket, a ready-to-eat food basket, and more.
