May 12 Tournament Update: Vol State softball (48-9) dropped two games Wednesday and were eliminated from the TCCAA tournament at Chattanooga State. The Lady Pioneers lost to Chattanooga State 4-1 in the winner’s bracket finals. Then, lost to Walters State 4-0 in the loser’s bracket finals.
May 10 Tournament Update: Vol State softball (49-7) continued its tournament run with a 3-2 win over #19 Walters State Community College in the second round of the TCCAA tournament at Chattanooga State. The win advances them to the winners’ bracket final against Chattanooga State at 11:30 a.m., CT Wednesday. The game will be live streamed over jockjive.com.
May 9 Tournament Update: Vol State softball (48-7) extended its season Monday with a 3-0 win over Roane State Community College in the first round of the TCCAA tournament at Chattanooga State. The Lady Pioneers will play Walters State Tuesday at 11:30 a.m., CT. The game will be live streamed over jockjive.com.
May 8 Tournament Update: Vol State baseball (27-21) ended its season Sunday with a 11-8 loss to Southwest Tennessee Community College in a first round play-in game in the Tennessee Community College Athletic Association tournament at Chattanooga State.
The Volunteer State Community College baseball and softball teams will begin tournament play in the Tennessee Community College Athletic Association this coming week at Chattanooga State Community College.
The Vol State baseball team (27-20) will play in a play-in game to the tournament Sunday, May 8, at 2 p.m. CT. The Pioneers will play Southwest Tennessee for the opportunity to play Chattanooga State on Monday, May 9, at 6:30 p.m. All of Vol State baseball tournament games will be live-streamed.
The Vol State softball team (46-7) will play its first game on Monday, May 9, at 11: 30 p.m. CT. They will play the winner of the Roane State and Southwest Tennessee play-in game.
