Volunteer State’s College Transfer Fair will be occurring on Feb. 26 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., in MCN dining room B located in the Wood Campus Center.

Representatives from colleges including Austin Peay, Union University, Belmont, and several other four-year colleges will be attending the transfer fair to answer any questions that Vol State students may have. The representatives will be able to answer questions regarding tuition, financial aid, extra-curricular activities, internships opportunities, the admission process, career paths and much more! They can give students advice and information on degree programs and majors that are offered at that respecting college.

The transfer fair is an opportunity for students to explore options for furthering their education. The fair offers face-to-face conversations, providing immediate feedback from representatives of several different colleges in one room. Traveling from campus to campus to do tours can be costly and time consuming. The college fair allows students to get a taste of several colleges in a short amount of time. Not only will the college fair save students time, it will also save them money. After speaking to the representatives, students can narrow down their options and get a better idea of which colleges they would like to physically visit.

Students have the opportunity to discover new colleges that they might not have previously considered. Upon asking questions at each booth and familiarizing themselves with a variety of colleges, students may find interest in a college that they might not have looked into on their own. Students are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to explore and discover potential educational paths for their future.
