By Julio Gautreaux

The annual Super Bowl ended with the Los Angeles Rams defeating the Cincinnati Bengals, 23-20. The Super Bowl took place at SoFi stadium in Inglewood, California which is the home stadium of the Los Angeles Rams. According to the official NFL website, this Super Bowl was the first Super Bowl in Los Angeles this century.

The Bengals clawed their way to a 10-7  regular season record while the Rams sported a 12-5 record.

“The Bengals left much to be desired in their passing game considering the efficiency Joe Burrow has with his respective receivers.” said Volunteer State Community College student Zach Joyner.

Joe Burrow is the starting quarterback for the Cincinnati Bengals. Burrow threw 4,611 YDS had 34 touchdowns and 14 interceptions during the regular season.

“This super bowl was pretty good considering past super bowls were pretty boring, it was a really close game and it looked like both teams tried their best.” said Vol state student Cody Spurling

This year’s half time show was performed by Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, and Kendrick Lamar. The half time show marked the third Super Bowl Halftime Show collaboration between Pepsi, the NFL and Roc Nation according to an article by the NFL.

“Seeing my family members reaction to the half time show was reveling, everyone was hype,” said Spurling.

“I absolutely loved the halftime show, it was my favorite by far. I would also say that the game was pretty good.” said another Vol State student Hilary West.

“The thing about the halftime show was it was so cool to see Dre, Snoop, 50 Cent, and company in that big of an event all together. It might be the last time that something like that happens for a while.” said Joyner
