Volunteer State Community College-Cookeville campus is proud to present its very first student theater performance. This production is small, having only three performers, and features a short comedy about vampires, so the theme is “Bite Size Theater”. This has been a passion project for English professor Lucas Flatt, who has been directing the performers and making arrangements for the production and also Dr. Vicki Davis, who has been serving as the production’s stage manager and dedicating much of her free time in the name of theatre. Cookeville students Katie Clark, Levi Bailey, and Nick Wilford will be performing in the short comedy “Bite Me” by Nina Mansfield. This hilarious play features an eager but misinformed wife, an exasperated husband, and a sullen vampire. It’s sure to leave the audience in stitches!

The first performance will be at 1:00 pm on Tues. April 26, and the second performance will be at 7:00 pm on Wed. April 27. It will be shown at the Cookeville campus in Cody Hall. Popcorn and drinks will be served at the afternoon showing, and pizza and brownies will be served at the evening performance. Admission and refreshments are free, and attendees are encouraged to bring friends and family to support the efforts of the theater group.
