A Look at the Volunteer State Community College 2023 Womens Basketball Team

The Vol State womens basketball team is halfway into their season, and this is how it is looking so far. 

Friday, Oct. 20 was the first game of the season with a loss against Lindsey Wilson. 

This was followed by two wins—one redemption against Lindsey Wilson and a win against Sewanee. 

The womens basketball team was hit with three losses in a row by the following schools: Coahoma Community College, Wallace State Community College-Hanceville and Lawson State Community College. 

The Vol State team grabbed a win against the Trevecca JV basketball team. 

The Vol State womens basketball team is currently on a seven-game losing streak. The starting date of this losing streak was Nov. 13, to Dec. 2. 

These losses were against the following schools: Calhoun Community College, Southwest Tennessee Community College, Motlow State Community College, Lawson State Community College, Trevecca JV, Columbia State Community College and Cleveland State Community College. 

The womens basketball team’s next game is an away game, scheduled for Dec. Saturday 9 at 2 p.m. against Calhoun Community College. 

The season’s last game is Mar. 2, which means there is plenty of time to break the losing streak.
